Masking tools are designed by our Design department in cooperation with our customers and manufactures to follow the contour of the turbine blades.
The tools are used :
- To support the turbine blade during the coating process.
- As a masking tool to cover the areas on the blade where coating is not required
The typical alloy used are HR38 (Ni 48% – Cr22%). The alloy can be changed depending on the process and customer’s requirement.
Cronite also supplies Composite Forming Tools, Titanium Forming Tools, Platens, Aluminizing Baskets and heat treatment fixtures (as cast, CFC / graphite or combined) to the aerospace industry.
